News & Notes – March 6

  • A new Sunday morning Bible Class begins today. “This We Believe” will review the foundations of our faith and will examine what makes confessional Lutheranism unique from other religions and Christian denominations. We hope you can join us!
  • Easter Baskets: We will be delivering baskets for Easter to some of our members who could use a little extra help at this time of year. A basket for a free-will offering will be in the back of the church today and next Sunday, March 13.
  • Easter Lilies: We will be ordering lilies from Kroger this year, and a signup sheet is on the bulletin board. Each lily is $7.00.  Sunday, March 20th is the last day to sign up!
  • Scrip Cards are available for purchase after both worship services today.
  • Daylight Saving Time begins next Sunday, March 13. Remember to set your clocks ahead 1 hour!
  • Easter Brunch Sign-Up: On the bulletin board in the hallway you will find sign-up sheets about our Easter brunch. One sheet is for the food that is needed for the brunch. Please scan the sheet and see what you would be willing to bring. The second sheet is for those who plan on attending the Easter brunch. This helps the people who will be setting the tables and chairs up. The third sheet is to volunteer for serving and clean-up. The Easter brunch is a wonderful time for fellowship. We hope to see you there.
  • MLS will present 3 plays in Reader’s Theater format. 29 students in a couple roles will present 3 shows: Snow…Sort of…White, I Don’t’ Mind that You’re Ugly, and Romeo, Juliet, and Toto, Too. All three shows are lighthearted and entertaining. There are no tickets for the only performance on Sunday, March 13 at 7:00 PM, but there will be a free-will offering to defray cost of royalties and scripts.
