  • New Summer Office Hours: We will have regular office hours in the morning from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Monday through Friday during the summer months.  Afternoon hours will be intermittent. You can leave a voicemail message on the church phone if no one is in the office when you call, or call the pastors on their cell phones if you need to reach them immediately.
  • Summer Worship Service Schedule: We will keep the same worship times (8:00 AM and 10:30 AM) during the summer. There will be no changes. A Family Sunday School will also take place between services at 9:20.
  • Mowing volunteers are needed for this summer at Good Shepherd. Keeping the grounds of our church looking good takes a little time and effort, but it’s something that needs to be done and is much appreciated. A sign-up sheet has been posted on the church bulletin board.
  • Special Synod Offering: The Church Council received an update from our circuit pastor, Pastor Seafert of St. Bartholomew in Kawkawlin. Pastor Seafert provided a report from the Conference of Presidents and the Synodical Council, the groups charged with the administration of the synod between conventions. These groups estimate that the synod will experience an estimated 1.2 million dollar budget shortfall. The synod is requesting that each congregation re-evaluate their offering to the synod before it would decide in July if cuts to ministry plans would be necessary. In response to this report, the Church Council resolved to carry out a special offering through the month of June for a gift to the synod over and above our regular congregational mission offering.
