News & Notes – January 29

Altar flowers last week were in celebration of LIFE Sunday, given by our members who volunteer for our Pregnancy Care Center in Saginaw.  The red rose is the symbol for life, and the baby’s breath is to remember that every baby is a gift of Almighty God, the Creator of every life. “In His hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12:10

Every-Member Visit: Pastor Behnken is hoping to visit all the members of Good Shepherd. This is simply an informal visit to “see how everyone’s doing.” Please sign up on the bulletin board.

Our Anniversary Dinner Potluck will be next Sunday, February 5. A sign-up sheet is posted on the church bulletin board.

The 2016 Annual Report is available in the church entryway on the credenza. Please take one.

Directory: Please check your contact information in the church directory and mark any corrections. Please place an “x” by your name if everything is accurate.

Forensics Dinner: Mark your calendar for Sunday, February 26. Following the second service, the students of our Lutheran Elementary School will present the forensics presentations and piano pieces they are preparing for MLS’ Science and Art Fair the following weekend. A meal will be served, and all are welcome.
