News & Notes – January 26

  • A New Bible Study began this week. We’ll be studying the first letter the Holy Spirit inspired Peter to write. God has Peter show us that Our Savior Surrounds our Sufferings with Grace. The reality of life is that we suffer in many different ways. Peter describes some of the ways we suffer – some sufferings simply because we are Christians – but God also has Peter surround our sufferings with explanations of the undeserved love of God which makes it possible for us to endure. Join your brothers and sisters for this study which takes place between our services.
  • A New Midweek Bible Study will begin during the weeks of February. Together, we will study what our Lord teaches us about how to read and study his Word. Please join us for this special opportunity!
  • Flowers on the altar were in honor of the SANCTITY OF LIFE. The red rose is the symbol for LIFE and the baby’s breath is to remember that every baby is a gift of Almighty God, the creator of LIFE. “In HIS hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind.” Job 12:10  Thank you Jodi Herman, Pam Krueger, Ron & Mary Shaffer and Sandy Umphrey for the flowers and for volunteering for our (WELS) Pregnancy Counseling Center in Saginaw.
