News & Notes – December 7

Categories: Church

  • Christmas Baskets: We will be collecting free will offerings for gift cards to be purchased for our Christmas baskets. These gift cards will be delivered to some members of our congregation who could use a little extra help at this special time of the year. A basket will be available next Sunday.
  • Tree for Life:  In the hallway across from Pastor Seifert’s office is a very special Christmas tree called the Tree for Life. The tree is decorated with star shaped ornaments which give gift suggestions for helping out the families we serve at the Pregnancy Counseling Center.  Choose whichever ornament(s) you like, purchase the item and place in the collection box located in the conference room. Gift cards or checks can be dropped off in the church office. The volunteers at the PCC will combine your gifts of love with God’s Word to help meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the families who come to us for help. Have a blessed Christmas!
  • Christmas Service Rehearsal will be held on Saturday, December 20 at 10 AM for all children PK-8 who would like to participate in the service December 21.
  • Christmas Fellowship: A sign-up sheet is posted on the bulletin board if you would like to bring Christmas cookies for the fellowship gathering we will have following the Children’s Christmas Service on December 21. Thank you!

  • The MLS Choir will join us to edify our worship on Sunday, December 14. We will be welcoming them with a breakfast when they arrive and a potluck dinner following the second service. Sign-up sheets to help are on the bulletin board. Remember that we will be feeding the MLS Choir also, so please bring a larger size dish to pass. We need to know how many are planning to attend.
